Meet Echo 🤎🐾

Every group needs one guy who thinks he’s ten feet tall—and in this little Doxie family, that guy is Echo. 😂

Echo is the only male of the quartet who came to us after being used for breeding, and from the beginning, he was the most confident and the most willing to interact with us—as long as we remembered that everything happened on Echo time.

At first, we couldn’t help but feel a little sad for him. Echo seemed like the odd man out among the girls. He approached them so gingerly and respectfully, while they mostly acted like their brother didn’t exist. But as the entire family has grown more comfortable and discovered how wonderful life can be, something else has changed too. The girls are interacting with Echo more, and our little guy seems genuinely happier to finally be part of the gang.

Now that his personality is shining, we’ve also discovered that Echo has mastered one of the great traditions of little dogs everywhere: convincing the entire world that he is VERY BIG and VERY TOUGH.

He’ll happily let the other dogs know exactly how formidable he is. We, of course, know the truth.

Echo is a giant softy.

Behind all that little-dog swagger is a sweet boy who wants attention, affection, and someone to love him. Once he feels comfortable, the tough-guy routine doesn’t stand much of a chance against his desire to soak up all the attention.

And then there are THE EARS.

Have you seen these things?! We’re fairly certain Echo can pick up radio transmissions from neighboring counties. Whatever breeds make up his DNA, they collaborated on one spectacular set of ears.
